The University of Victoria is situated on the land of the the Straits and Coast Salish Peoples. The university is on the grounds of an old Lekwungen village site.

Conference proceedings will be held in the First Peoples House, the "D" wing of the MacLaurin building, outside, and on Saturday afternoon at locations in the community (see program).
